Okay, what are your opinions on paras?

Personally, I find them to be the most annoying things that ever lurked on the planet. Sorry if that sounds a little harsh, but it's the truth. They fall into at least one of these categories.

• Space Invader.

• Misunderstander of your abilities.

• Favors kids.

• Has no idea what ASD is.

• A pervert.

I have high-functioning autism and am in a program for kids on the spectrum, just like me. All the paras in there are so annoying that I'd stab myself if I could. The worst one is some 35-40 year old guy who fits ALL of these categories.

Space Invader: He seriously gets in one of my friend's space bubbles all the time. He's like, one millimeter away from him, and it irks me. If I were him, I'd just elbow that para. Also, my teacher in the program makes me write in this journal, because I've been having some emotional issues recently and handled it the wrong way. I was immersed in my journaling, and he started asking me questions.

Misunderstander of your abilities: Okay, he is the most sexist guy I have EVER met. He was talking to my more-than-friend about how smart he was and another kid in that hour. Then, he said, "I'm assuming Alix is smart." He basically said that the guys were really smart, while he assumed the girl (me) was smart. Fortunately, my more-than-friend told him I was really smart. :D

Favors kids: He'll talk to the kids he likes and ignore the ones he doesn't. Enough said.

Has no idea what ASD is: He thinks it means that we all have IQ's of -50. Therefore, he acts like we're all stupid, except for the two guys I mentioned earlier. I'm really smart and am in a lot of honors classes. I intend to take 6 AP classes in high school, and I took the SAT in 7th grade.

A pervert: Where should I begin? I went to homecoming with my more-than-friend, and he was asking me what my dress looked like and that jazz. None of the other teachers asked me that. Then, when I was at the school shop/vending machine after school, just eating a candy bar, he decided to try and squirt me with his water bottle. Finally, he seems to be really pissed off whenever my more-than-friend and I talk. He was telling me about this project he's working on, and the para was talking nonstop and telling him he'll miss the bus.

So, as you can see, I'm not the biggest fan of paras. What happened with you guys???

What are paras?

It's an abbreviation for paraprofessionals. You know, those people that go to classes with you?

You know that perra means b***h in Spanish . That is what I thought you mean haha.

Whoa, that's awkward!

Currently, I'm in the special education work with the para listed above. He's talking nonstop, and I'm about ready to freaking shoot myself. (And I HATE loud noises!)
