The Curious Incident of the screwed up IT coursework
Hello all, I'd just like to talk about an incident that occurred a few days ago in my IT class.
So we have been working on our coursework since September, our coursework involves writing and filing an awful lot of documents. Reports, implementations, designs, evaluations, you get the picture. There is a lot of stuff to keep track of.
Part of our work is writing implementations, which are basically guides for computer illiterate people on how to do relatively simple things. It's time consuming but not particularly difficult. Anyway, I finished the work ahead of everyone else so I started filing it using those annoying little tie things. I.E, the things that are like rope with a plastic bit on the end, you thread it through the holes in the paper.
It has later transpired that two sheets got mixed up, ruining the order of a specific part of my implementation. (The order is paramount to getting good marks, everything is step by step) I discovered this when a classmate, whom I strongly dislike (I've been told not to say hate), pointed it out and then proceeded to mock it. His moronic lackeys soon joined in with the fun.
So here I am, alone, getting harassed and mocked for a tiny mistake that can be fixed. Despite knowing and understanding that it is a tiny problem that can be fixed in seconds it is still bothering me. I cannot let it go. The worst part is that I cannot focus on anything IT related now, it's made IT (My favorite subject) sour for me. I hate this.
How can I let this go? The experience has left me stressing about IT, which I normally love. Argh.
