This is a method given by time management expert Alan Lakein way back in the 1970s. Just like a person often reads only part of a magazine, right? It's fine to do the same thing with a book. For the book might be only so-so, or maybe not your cup of tea, or maybe that's just your fill of the subject. That's what you need to read on that occasion, and that's fine.

I think this is one good study method and one good learning method to be added to a number of others.
