I have no idea what I like and dislike. Everything available to me seems... boring and useless.
The only thing I like, and the only thing I've liked since I was 12 has been metal.
I am lonely and depressed and feeling worthless, and I know myself well enough to realize that if I force myself to take a class that I'm simply not interested in, it will be a huge waste of time and money.

What should I do?

Are there certain tasks that you are good at doing?

You might want to try talking to a career counselor at a college.

My great-uncle was a career counselor at NC State at Raleigh and he created something called the career key. It basically asks you questions about what interests you and helps you build up careers that might best suit you. Check it out. It might help.

Now, it probably is a little out-dated, but it might help you for a starter.

If you don't know what you like and dislike, then I recommend doing something you're good at.

Well, basically, what are your hobbies/interests/skills/etc.?
And what kind of job do you most want to have after you graduate?
That's pretty much what you need to take into consideration before deciding what major to pursue.
