I'm currently trying to get my high school diploma so I can move on to higher education. I'm taking Math 10, so that I can take Math 11, and so on until I get enough credits to finish high school (adult graduate). There are six modules in this math course, and it has six tests attached to it, and one exam. My instructor expects me to get at least 75% on all six tests, and at least 50% on the final exam. However, I'm not smart in math. In my estimation I'm just barely adequate. I consider it a good outcome if I get between 60-70%. But, he tells me, if I don't get 75% on all six, I fail the course.

He's also very nitpicky and has taken off half-marks for "inconsistency" in my methods even though I got the right answers. That could mean the difference between passing or failing.

What should I do?

Google Khan Academy or find yourself a tutor. Your school probably has or can point you towards free peer tutors or you could contact the math department of a local college to get a list of undergrads who tutor (and their hourly rates).
