I want to be fluent in Spanish, but I'm on scholarship and Spanish is one of my worst classes. I'm on my third semester and I definitely can't drop out now because it's already past midterms. But I have 90's in all my other classes and a freaking 78 in Spanish. That's gonna drag my GPA way down. I've come close to losing my scholarship in the past. It's a combination of struggling with the grammar, forgetting to hand in homework or check if I have homework, and being late to class. For some reason, I only have the lateness problem with Spanish class. It's not a problem with the professors, and I've had it at different times in the day. Maybe it's a coincidence. But I'm torn between really wanting to be fluent in Spanish, which would help me with employment, and really not wanting more debt than I already have. I've tried to bring my grade up, and it works temporarily, but then I'm back to high 70s. I have no idea what's wrong with me. Is there an alternative to formal classes (that isn't as expensive as formal classes)?
