hair dye and college interviews
In the past, I've had my hair dyed an assortment of non-natural colors--blue, purple, green, bright red--and I've been playing around with the idea of doing this again. I like the way unnatural hair dye looks, primarily I'm thinking about getting the top section of my hair dyed purple and the sides and back dyed blue so there'd be some contrast, or maybe just different shades of blue (by the way I have a medium short style boys haircut). The reason for hesitation is that I'm applying to colleges this fall, and it might be viewed as a put-off. I'm going to be applying to some very competitive schools--Princeton, Columbia, Johns Hopkins--and don't want to do anything to hurt my chances, but by the same token, if a college is going to turn someone down just because of hair color, would I even want to go there? (By the way, I'm in no way implying that if I got turned down by these schools it would be because of hair, I know my chances are very slim as is). Any input is very much appreciated.
