Hey hang in there. I just started college and I feel the exact same way. Doing really good in one class, average in a couple others, and poorly in one. I can really relate to the urge to panic, but you have to find your weaknesses, and address them. Does your college offer time-management and study-skills seminars or something along those lines? Can you get a tutor (I've got one for my the class that's toughest to me)? We're both new students having to adapt our lives and study methods for college life, difficulty is normal, but one thing is for certain, and that is that dropping out is a terrible idea.

Life is full of challenges and you can never truely live if you back down form a struggle because of its difficulty or fear. It's hard sometimes but keep working.

You will HATE yourself later if you drop out now!! ! It gets easier as you go, you get more used to what professors expect and how they test. What you think is hard now will seem easy later. Just get though it!! !

I don't understand....can you specify what kinds of problems you're really experiencing in college? What do you mean by too much?

I felt I wasn't ready for when I was applying for college and now I feel fine since I made it into college.

It's definitely challenging, but by no means impossible.

I am a freshman also. Sometimes I feel like I wish I could just go back home. Like whenever I do go back home and see my family and get to watch tv and just relax and be comfortable and have no one bug me except people that I like (family/boyfriend).

But I know that there is no calling for me in the world without a college education. I also know I would be even more stressed out now going into a real job. I would also be completely isolated. I LIKE PEOPLE! I just have a hard time with people... I do need my alone space sometimes, often.

But it is hard. I know. Sometimes I don't go to class because I am too stressed out. Sometimes I forget to do my homework. I am doing pretty badly in my math class. I don't like going to my German class. My business class was scheduled for 8 am and I hardly ever went to that. It is going to be bad next Tuesday when I have to get up extra early, get looking good and go present my business project with my partners.

I never had accommodations in high school because they didn't know what to accommodate me for. It did not turn out too well, and I ended up doing very badly in high school overall because of it. I want to do better in college, so I am working on getting accommodations here at college. Maybe you should too?

If you would like to talk more, since I feel we are in similar situations, we could be a bit of motivation buddies or something. Lol I feel so awkward saying that but whatever. Anyway if you would like you could PM/IM/etc me sometime and we could chat some more.
