Ever been disgusted with your school?

I remember I was treated like crap by the people in my school, the school principal and by some of the staff. I've had good teachers throughout my elementary school years except for when I was 8 and 12 but then I was put in a different class and the teach was good but the student teacher sucked.

When I was 15 I was reading my medical records and I was reading my records from school, most of them were IEP ones and they were talking about my poor social skills, poor balance and coordination, short attention span, sensitive to touch, inappropriate behavior and my speech problems. They even had me screened OCD and suspected it because of my fear of germs and sweat. They had me diagnosed with dyspraxia, sensory ingretion dysfunction, speech disorder, and ADD. They even did IQ tests on me and I scored average and above average. The scores were, 90, 96, 100, 107, and 117 if I remember right.
I was shocked that they knew I had problems but yet they still treated me like crap. The school principal allowed kids to tease me even though she knew I had a disability, and they all knew I wasn't ret*d because of my IQ scores. My math was below the age level but my spelling and punciation was at the 7th grade level and my reading level was at the grade level. I was even on the IEP and I didn't even know it till I was in high school. I had been on it since I was about three.

So have any of you ever been disgusted with your school because they knew you had problems or you had something but they just didn't care because they didn't help you. They let the students hurt you and they kept treating you bad.

Yeah I had a couple really good teachers but for the most part, school was pretty crap for me too :)

And going through all the disability documentation I had to submit to my college, it was pretty clear they knew all along what was going on also, I think (or at least that something was going on) but were very resistant to doing anything "special" for me. I think the reasoning was something along the lines of they can't make exceptions for people. *smacks head*

Fortunately in college I've found it's a lot better and people don't usually treat you badly, they either treat you nicely/friendly or ignore you

Yes. The endless misery suffered in school that I have spent years attempting to forget. If only I knew I had autism then it would have been so much easier, I could have laughed at them too.
