Hows about a part time job? That's what I did.

My sister gave blood as often as she could, for the cash.

My brother was the, uh, have-the-stautes-of-limits-run-out, local drug dealer. (You have to remember, this was the late 60's....)

Can you type? That was one thing I did, typing papers for the keyboard challenged.

I was doing it on a manual typewriter. It would be a bit easier today.

And Dee Dee, I'm an only child but I had a roommate who was dealing for a while, back then. Just pot, acid, and pills. You remember the dividing line between a dealer (socially acceptable) and a pusher (God damn the pusher man!).

Yeah, I was afraid that might be true. There's are no part-time jobs on or near campus you wouldn't need a car for?

While I have poor "people skills" (as in Aspie), I am quite capable of effectively teaching the subject I love, and I'm even a good one-on-one tutor because I'm talking about English.

Is tutoring something you could do? Would it be worth a try?

You don't have to sell anything or put up with any rudeness. If people don't want to be there, they just won't come.

They're usually quite happy just to have you.

Yes indeed! My brother was a dealer...just pot and pills really. And it WAS socially acceptable. I think THAT is one of those "you had to be there things."
