Are any of you guys enrolled in your college's ROTC program? Or, do you know of any other aspies that are? I'm in ROTC and I'm enjoying it thus far. I think it's an awesome way to pay for school, make friends, and learn some awesome skills.

My college doesn't even have anything like that.

I know Mason has Army and Air Force but wouldn't joined because after two years in the program you have to choose your branch service if you continue with them. Unlike JROTC where you can choose to enlisted or not, you don't so into military for you. I wanted to served in the Navy like my grandpa Jerry abroad USS Franklin (CV-13) but can't due ADHD and medicine for it.

At my school they have Army ROTC, and hopefully they won't deny my DoDMERB because of my Asperger's. I don't know if they would or not, since a lot of people with Asperger's are diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. I just know that I had trouble shooting some of the guns because they were pretty loud (maybe wear better earplugs next time! lol). It would be pretty cool to be able to be in debt to someone in college who will give you a skill rather than someone who just wants your money. That's the way that I put it thus far. I'm still an MSI, and am not contracted yet, so if I find that I don't like it or think I could do it I could still drop out. Hopefully things turn out good.
