foxman - I will not distract you from The Prime Directive: THESIS
For consolation...I previously wrote/finished my master's thesis. I was basically done, and had additonal research too. But, trust me, I know that stress! I am prone to stress-outedness (is that a word?).
I am now furthering my eduation (Chem/Biochem - neuroscience), so I definitely understand! My semester, but not the research, ends next week - sheer panic horror.
But you'll somehow be just fine. Really. Stress becomes amplified, then hysteria sets in, meltdown. Ok, that didn't help.
Here's a funny and true happening to lighten up your moment: Whilst finishing up my thesis for publication, I had every detail down, doing 'final checks,' etc. In chemistry I/we use the word dissociate, as in "The analyte (treatment) readily dissociates (dissolves in) solution...." So, spell-check picked up a minor spelling error of 'dissociate.' I just mindlessly clicked ok - done. OH NO. No one caught my faux pas until thesis was at the printers.....spell check selected 'dissassociate,' which is a psychoanalytical term meaning (in essence), "To lose touch with reality - psychotic break."
MENTAL SCREAM!! ! So, that's how my thesis is printed and published. In actuality, no one, except a select few, actually noticed. Or cared. May this NEVER happen to you.
You'll be ok....slow deep breaths. Do not.....dissassociate.
