I'm sure you have all heard about my English teacher in school this year. He took the place of someone, who we shall call Mr. O., and we shall call him Mr. L..
I really wanted to have Mr. O. as an English teacher. He is from my hometown of Seattle, is a local musician, and writes his own myths. However, he left to teach at another school, and then Mr. L. came along.
I really like Mr. L.. He is a very good teacher. But, I have been listening to him read lately, and the way he expresses his emotions when he is reading is very different. I don't think he really means the content of what he reads. He does have an interesting sense of humor also. He raises his voice as a joke sometimes. He touches people when he really wants to have fun with them, and he can tell other peoples' senses of humor as well. In other words, he shows his own sense of humor, and understands others'. If you remember, this is the same person who wrote a reply to the letter with constructive criticism on it. I find his qualities interesting because I have never had a teacher like him in my life. Some of his mannerisms really make me anxious.
Does anyone have any advice about how I can deal with this?
