All of my freshman have moved in, and we had our first hall meeting about university policy, and soon we have to do community standards.
All of my girls are pretty chill so far, I just hope I don't have a meltdown in front of them anytime soon.
i have my supervisor's throwing all this stuff at me for their orientation saying "Bring them to this for programming points!" but I feel just as overwhelmed as they are, and I just classes to start.
I'll worry about hall socials later.

Thats really good that are even an RA. I know I couldnt handle that. Good luck with the everything.

Wow! Congrats on being an RA. I know it's a fun job once you get "into" it per se according to my last RA.

Being an RA is all about being good cop bad cop. You will catch them drinking and carrying on at some point, so it's up to you to decide what you do about it. If I was the RA, I would just warn them to keep it down so the authorities aren't alerted and they don't get in trouble, but I'm not an RA, so yeah.

Yet another job I would fail at.

I went over a simulation in training on what to do when we come across drinking and illegal drugs, and the biggest part of that process is to call someone for back-up THANK GOD!

I already had a situation where a rumor was flying around my hall, and my supervisor heard about it before I did. I was able to get it under control though. (Basically some freshman thought 'naked hours' were mandatory and i had to clear up the policy for them.)

I didn't tell head of ResLife when I applied for the job about my asperger's, but i did just recently disclose it to my direct supervisor, and so far she hasn't said anything about it.
