i've got an exam in my second year electrical engineering course tomorrow and my psychology course on friday and i'm finding it so hard to motivate myself to study. i'm not interested in this subject at all and it's been hard to get anything done all year. i'm trying desperately to switch into civil engineering for next year but i've got to do well this year in order to do that, and it's just really hard to study this crap. i'm not worried about my psych course, i've got a really good memory and the material is pretty interesting so i should do well on that one, but the electronics course is hard to focus on.

These types of moments seem to just be a fact of life. All you can do it force yourself to keep going. Doing so helps build character.

/pat on back

You can do eet!

Hope that helps.

haha thanks

i've always had trouble motivating myself to get schoolwork done but the last day i can always seem to get it together and study my ass off. right now i'm just having so much trouble doing that. i'm finally studying, but not with the intensity and vigour that i usually have. i'll most likely do ok tomorrow, but not as well as i should.

the psych exam should go fine though. i'm pretty sure my friend who's taking the same course (the girl from my thread in love and dating) is going to hate me for it because i'll most likely do a lot better than she will (i've gotten on average about 20% higher on the two midterms) and she knows how much i'm studying for this. i'm just very successful in courses that involve a lot of memorization rather than understanding. i'm still very good at understanding concepts (math, science, etc.) but when compared to my peers, i am much better at remembering facts, so i rarely need to study very much for those kinds of tests.

the psych exam is multiple choice too, so that makes remembering facts much easier. if i don't remember exactly what the answer is, i go for the most familiar one and it usually turns out to be right.
