I recently started at a new school, and I thought this school was going to be a better experience for me. It turns out that is not true, I have been receiving some unfair treatment from the gym teacher, and I want something done about it. I was informed from the teacher that I was going to fail if I can't do the warm up exercises "right". I have noticed that there are several people in my class that are lazy, and that refuse to do anything. The teacher obviously does nothing about them, instead he complains about me not doing them "right". I have hand eye coordination issues, and doing those exercises is not easy for me. I was informed that the next time I do an exercise incorrectly, I will fail the class for the trimester. I am not sure what I should do about the situation, if I tell him about my coordination issue, I will probably get my eyes rolled at or they will put me in a class full of low functioning learning support kids who can't even walk straight on a line. I am not sure what to do about the situation. I could use some advise on what to do, and what I should do next if there is not a positive resolution to the problem.

I don't think changing gym classes will work, all gym classes are with that same teacher, and he probably has that same attitude with every class.

Skipping class will put me in after school detention and it will cause the teacher to disrespect me even more. If I don't go to after school detention I get put in Saturday detention, the last thing I want to do is get up and go to school on a Saturday.

I am a junior this year, and graduation is not far away. Skipping class will hurt my grade even more in the class and it could ruin my chance of getting into college. I have to take this class in order to graduate, and the teacher is harassing me by taking advantage of me for not doing the warm up exercises "correctly" and there are people in the class that refuse to do anything. I will not stand for being disrespected like this. I need some useful advice on what to do about the situation.

When you tell your parents (if you tell them), make sure they know that there are kids that do nothing in his class and that he says nothing to them. It seems like he's displaying bullying behaviour in my view.

I told my parents and they emailed the teacher about the issue. If the teacher does nothing to fix the problem, then we will go to the administration about it. If they do nothing, then I will be pulled out of the school.

I hope things get better for you.
