I was, and still am, afraid of fireworks. when I was little, I thought that I'd get burned by them (and because I was a baby autism I hated the noise)

now I just can't stand the noise and the bright flash. makes me think of negative things

I used to be terrified of tall ceilings although it is now merely a mild discomfort. I also used to be frightened by dog barking, vacuum cleaner noises, and fireworks and I hated holidays for that reason. I also used to be scared of the drunken scene in the Dumbo movie.

If my dad was even five minutes late coming home from work I thought he died.

He worked a dangerous profession but close to home.

Any delay meant certain death in my mind.
