My family were affectionate with me, but I tended to shrug it off.

I was hardly ever hugged as a child.

I disliked hugs.....

does being molested count?

They tried to force it on me but i hated it so much that i have finally bitten to defend myself.

Almost never

My mother is the only one I let hug me and only because it meant something to her. It was almost never done and it was solely for her benefit. I love and care about my parents, but I don't like physical contact. My family was/is not affectionate in any sense of the word and that includes me.

I hated it and still do.

When I was a child the only thing that ever hugged me was a jellyfish that had washed up on the beach. Oy, did it sting!

Not a lot, but I'm unsure if it was because I didn't want hugs, or simply because my family isn't very touchy feely.

I enjoy hugs, though.

I was hugged a lot and I enjoyed those hugs. I still love to give and receive hugs.

I guess quite a bit as a kid. I wasn't the one to initiate it.

We weren't a particularly huggy bunch. I learned to hug as an adult, but I still find it awkward. I've learned how to offer and receive them. I like when my husband hugs me.

I was hugged, but only little. The reason is that I hate it to be hugged since then and until now and when I was a child I always fend it off. So they learned not to hug me and it is less now.
