Ways to make money online
I get gift cards from MyPoints.com, and I've been making some money at QuickRewards.net, but neither pay very well at all.
Someone here recommended NeoBux, but I've been doing it for almost a year now and I'm still not making anything.

Amazon.com has a program called Mechanical Turk which allows you to sign up and accept various Online tasks from other people in exchange for a set fee.
For example, a dictation company can offer $5.00 for listening to a few minutes of audio and typing out what you hear.
An Online magazine can pay $3.00 to write a short article about bluejays.
The payouts are generally low since most users are from low-income countries, but you can find some gems in there as well. I hop on there every once in a while to see what's new.
The best part is that you don't have to communicate with anyone the entire time; the process is entirely automated.
Seems like an interesting site so far. I tried one of the 7-minute transcripts, but it was way more stressful than I thought it'd be.
How long does it take for payments to finish pending? It says I have $4 or so in my earnings, but when I check my Amazon Payments account, it says "Current Balance: $0.00".

Hi, don't worry if you couldn't get jobs..there are many online jobs..i know a good online business, it is Domain Reselling . [b]Goresellers is a provider of domain reselling account.. You need to get this online Domain reselling account and then star selling the domain and start earning..
i have searched in many many places to find good sites to make money. so far, they all require tedious work, but it's better than making no money. i haven't actually begun to start making money, but these sites seem more promising than others: 1. Second Life - a virtual game where you can put your creativity to good use by creating items such as clothing to sell, or you can whore your avatar out, your choice. 2. blogger - tedious and requires constant blogging, but you can post amazon ads which will pay you better than adsense, or so i hear. 3. chacha.com - it's like KGB where people text you a question and you find the answer for them. it requires doing research. 4. online surveys 5. buying and reselling on ebay.
i'm still working on it, so i can't tell you whether you'll make money but it doesn't hurt to pass the info around right? good luck!
Online jobs can be stressful, a good aid is to have a calender nearby for deadlines etc. especially when doing this fulltime
If you are a programmer (even in the easier languages such as C#), there's lots and lots of freelance programming sites out there to make use of. Much of the time it's bug correction or small helpful programs for a given company... The payout is okay too if you know where to look
Second life, as mentioned before is also a good bet. The payout may not be steady and may cause red numbers, but if your products are well-made and well scripted, there's a good chance of a decent payout. It requires some modeling, programming and photoshop knowledge however. Once you become good enough at building stuff in SL, you can hire out your services...
Money off internet ads is a good way to make a dime. There's no real risk here, but make sure to read TOSes, EULAs etc. carefully to avoid surprises.
If you have a computer with decent GPU power, you can get started on bitcoin mining. Bitcoins are an open-source digital currency that can be traded for real-world currencies (Like SL's Linden dollars). There's a good wiki describing suitable computer builds for the task (Some larger AMD and many NVidia GPUs use too much power to earn a profit). For a steadier payout, you can join a bitcoin mining pool.
Also you can do jobs for bitcoins, ie. bitcoinjobs.com
1 bitcoin (BTC) = about $3.50 right now
All in all, you can make good money off the internet, but use common sense as many can be scams
I did Second life that for 4 years or so...
The good things:
- It's super fun!
- You can create to your hearts content in your special interest area
- It's easy to sell things via automated vendors (clickable pictures that sell the item for you) You can also put stuff online and off world to sell items when Second life has crashed (again) ..see "bad things"
- You don't have to be online to have sales - your items are stored on servers in Silicon Valley or wherever and people can buy things anytime.Earn while you sleep - literally!
- You can make a steady (low) income by checking in once a week and tweaking the vendors, adding a new product or a new color, and doing some marketing. Branding is very important now. The world is so huge that people cant just walk around a look for something good... they ask what the biggest brands are for such and such item and go right there. Word of mouth marketing is still the best.
The bad things:
- Learning curve is STEEP and they keep changing things. Thus, you can not be an expert is a field for long before that field becomes obsolete. About every 6 months a new bit of technology improved Second Life rendering my hours of work useless. One guy had imitated shadows so well (they even moved with the sun!) that people were willing to pay for his trees with shadows then BAM shadows become automatic part of the game and now EVERYTHING has shadows
- You eventually need good business tactics. Selling a specialized item here or there will not generate livable income. The most successful people OWN the mall. They spend literally MILLIONS on advertising and marketing. They hire people to advertise and welcome people to the store. You may have to buy and sell in HUGE amounts at very little profit per item. You may need to hire many people to produce things for you then split the profits. (managing people is a big no no online or off)
- It takes hours and hours to do anything and Secondlife is plagued with lag, servers down, glitches etc which turn a 10 minute checkup into a 2 hour ordeal.
- There are too many distractions. "A water slide in outer space? OMG I gotta see that!"
I burned out on it in 3 years but continued to make $100 a month (US dollars) while hardly doing anything in the fourth year. Then they added "mesh" capability and made my products look stiff and unnatural by comparison. Im not ready to jump in and learn 3d modelling to make movable meshes so I gave it up.
All in all I think I made $5000 over the 3 years. Mostly in the last 2 years. It was fun but it is not a stable income. Its a crap load of work. That said, if you already know C+ you are way ahead already if you want to make and sell computer scripts.
Also, knowing how to paint textures onto 3D forms is a valuable skill.
Ways to make money online:
Sell your body.
Make viral YouTube videos (sell your soul).
Become a video game/virtual world currency reseller.
If you have crafting skills or money to invest in a patent and manufacturing put something on eBay for a niche market and plug it in social networking sites.
Enter hundreds of competitions a week with genuine prizes/chances of winning and not phishing e.g. official competitions for TV stations and big companies.
I wish I could think of more but that just came to mind :p the first one was a joke btw.
