Still can't find work, and it's nearing two years since I graduated with my Master's in IT Management.
They haven't found me anything either at the state agency and the other person/company too.

This my main issue with finding an entry job in IT/Software/Digital Marketing

It doesn't help that here in the Great Lakes States, getting an entry level position in most companies requires a minimum of 3+ years of industry experience (General Work Experience doesn't count), some ask for as much as 5-7+ years for entry level.

Many also ask for industry certifications (Which you have to be employed to get) to get these entry level positions.

Internships are few and far between, most requiring at least 1-2+ industry experience (General Work Experience doesn't count) with many asking for completed Bachelors and Masters degrees.
Most are unpaid.

No one has been able to help me at all.

I am also hating the interviews with HR people who know nothing about software and/or anything in detail about the jobs I'm interviewing for.
Do you know how hard it is to interview with an HR person who is not knowledgeable in fields I am interviewing in.

Retail clerk, here. Don't have much else going on until I've figured out a job I actually want to do.

Dishwasher at a resturant called Crackerbarrel.
Trying to get a job substitute teaching while taking classes in religion to become a theology professor, but until then I have dishwashing six hours a day, five days a week. Its highly repetitive and can get stressful during rush hours, but since washing dishes requires little thought I spend the time thinking about whatever comes to mind.

i am a insurance assistant underwriter for personal lines. Work the 9-5 corporate grind. Although it is pretty mundane, i don't understand why so many of the NT people that work in my office struggle, or stress out.
I find it be pretty repetitive work.
It is the same rules, insurance laws etc over and over again. I get so bored, i can pretty much finish my work in a half day so i drag my feet to make it look like i have so much work to do.
I'm going to be studying to get my brokers license and then i would like to study for the CPCU exam which is a pretty prestigious accreditation to hold.

Does anyone else find that some jobs are so easy and the NT population just find it so hard? I guess because we are able to tune the world out when needed that we can just hyper focus on the task, well at least myself anyway.

It does burn me out though, sensory wise. I cant deal with the lights, the people talking, phones ringing, etc. So i do get sensory overloaded by the time 5pm comes around.

I ask people to turn it off and on again. More than 5 years in the role, and I can imagine retiring in it.

I can't answer any of those options because although I'm not working for anybody else right now, I'm never unemployed. :D

I am not, I am on SSI right now but I may be able to start doing a limited amount of work in the next few months, depends on an upcoming mental health check up appointment and trying to figure out how much I can work before they reduce the SSI or whatever.

I've never had a regular job, tried a waitress job when in H.S and also had a short term job after I dropped out of college and was staying with family in Minnesota. Got fired from both of those due to autism deficits/me not seeming normal compared to peers. I then moved back to Colorado tried finding work and failing, started trying to go to counseling for mental stuff and got it officially diagnosed I was on the autism spectrum, had PTSD and still struggled with my anxiety and depression around that time to. But in a last ditch effort to try and avoid disability I tried going back to college part time hoping something would just click into place, or that I'd simply be able to handle less hours closer to home on a school campus. Part of why I had dropped out was being on a school campus sets off PTSD symptoms, but I thought less time there and not living on a campus might help, it didn't.

So yeah then I had to apply for SSI or have no income whatsoever and no real way to seek out any mental health treatment, at the time I couldn't just get on medicaid for not having income, whereas getting SSI guarantees it. And since then I've had treatment and feel like I am doing a bit better and at least am more stable on a consistent basis...So I know its not impossible I could look at employment before too long, even if it is just part time.

Maybe it's a trick; to see how good you are at explaining things to people who don't have a clue. ??

I have worked professionally from the age of 18 as a software engineer. No qualifications. Was a little different when I got a job if you could prove it you got the job. I also answered every question on there aptitude test correctly which I found out after no one had ever done before

I'm a part-time self-employed estate planning attorney. I now realize it was a Godsend that I didn't get hired out of law school. I think it would have been too much in a firm or even office sharing. However, I sometimes have so few clients I seem unemplloyed, which is why I like to do lots of writing and then just come here at rare, random times.

I bet that's an interesting job. I'm a radio nut myself, I have an amateur radio license as well as a police scanner, shortwave and general radio hobbyist. Myself, I often think if I had a good break, I could do something in radio or TV, most of my friends and co-workers say I do have a good voice and would make a good voice on radio or TV voiceovers. I'd like to check it out. I know another amateur radio operator that works for WTRF in Wheeling, WV, a local TV station and CBS affiliate (although they broadcast ABC on a subchannel) so maybe I'll ask him. He works nights monitoring the network satellite feed to make sure everything is OK. He watches the monitors all nights as wll as jabber on the ham radio.

Not currently, been considering starting my own business once I finish college though, I like the idea of working for myself and not having to answer to anybody

I'm self-employed, I sell stuff online. I don't make minimum wage though. Which answer should I give?
