Farming
There are general times of the year to plant and harvest are there not? I can tell you what is growing in the fields in my area right now, and when, in general, it will be harvested, as well as the risk of a failed harvest (low this year). Some areas have more predictable climates than others.
Well yes, but most jobs have general directions of what to do when, so farming isn't really that predictable when compared to most jobs but actually in pretty much the same level. It's just that the things that make farming unpredictable are different than, say, in a cleaner's job.

In my state a person can be fired at any time without warning and without being given a reason. Sometimes they don't bother telling the person they have been fired. They just stop scheduling them. Sometimes they don't even do that. A while back employees showed up to report to their shift at a restaurant to find a sign on the door that the restaurant had closed permanently.
I think office environments are unideal for people on the spectrum because of petty office politics and desk bullies.

I strongly agree with you. Animals, veggies and weather are all far more predictible than people. I never have to worry about inadvertantly offending the chickens.

Huh, I didn't know that... in here that kind of thing would be illegal. Maybe farming is more predictable than office work where you're from, but I still think it's not the case here since we have laws that protect workers from such things.
As for bullies and petty unwritten rules... eh, I'm pretty sure almost every work place that has more than two people have those.
I don't know about grain farming but I'm definitely planning to devote my life to becoming more and more intimately involved in the ecology of wherever I am.. I'm currently looking for the right deal on a vehicle to buy and live in and if I do before May then I'm going to leave the city to travel first to the white mountains, and then across the midwest to the rockies and on to the west coast for the winter and try to find as many places as I can to help people with projects related to regenerative agriculture, soil building, economic self-sufficiency in general, etc. and hopefully find some opportunities to participate in meals in return for helping... and continue to learn as much as I can about surviving outdoors and rewilding my body. definitely want to be the person who shows up to someone's house with acorn flour, hickory nut, and maple syrup cookies that I wild harvested the ingredients for myself (well I'd probably have to buy the ghee or something I guess..) but social and emotional isolation is pretty discouraging, I can only try and see how far I get I suppose. doesn't seem likely that I will even make it out of the city though really. I'd have to find a really good deal on a vehicle really quickly...
For me, thinking about a list of attributes that a lifestyle focused on biological cultivation has is far too complicated to write into a comment so I don't think I can contribute a more cleanly articulated perspective on the benefits of such things, especially as it relates to people on the spectrum, because to me everyone seems so different and I have no official diagnosis (what does this mean?? hahaha) so can I even have a valid thought about it?
What's the purpose of this comment? I don't know... I don't know.
