I shook my head when I saw the words "copy editor." That has to be the job with the very worst prospects in the world. Reason why is all the writers do their own editing via grammar check and spell check. Copy editor used to be a full time job requiring a good education, but now I think a lot of publications don't even bother to hire one.

Anyway, good luck.

The prospects are definitely worse than they used to be, but hopefully some people know that grammar checkers and spell checkers aren’t infallible. I did get a part-time proofreader job the other day, and it has the potential to become a full-time position, so I’m pretty happy right now.
