Just a question for all the aspies out there who were looked down upon throughout there life.Somehow, I have this notion that a college degree and that 45k income will suddenly make people respect me more.
I got degree and a starting salary over $130,000/year. Many people did respect me and some got jealous. When I was mopping floors as a living, most people didn't respect me and/or thought I was lazy or dumb but no-one was jealous. Now that I don't have a job, I'm not sure as I haven't told many people. Sometimes I feel like you can't win. If you succeed people will try to put you down or get jealous of you, if you don't succeed many people will think you're useless. Maybe it's just the people around me or the system around me that makes people like this?
What kind of job did you have that paid $130000/year, and how did you get so lucky? I have an associate's degree in liberal arts, going for a bachelor's in business administration, and I'll be lucky if I can ge4t a job that pays at least $35000/year!
