Nowadays, what with the glut of candidates, it is sometimes preferrable to hire more than one person for the job, and then retain only the best one.

On the plus side, I have another interview later this week.

Good luck! Is it another GIS position?

That freaking sucks. I just got back from an interview in Portland, Maine for a staff accountant position. I hit it off with the interviewer (employment agency) really well.

The interviewer was very relaxed and informal which was a big plus in my favor. I also had my resume done up professionally. Portland seems like a pretty cool place to live if you are an Aspie (that's my first impression).

I hope everything goes out well on your next interview Tex. If you don't get this one keep on plugging away on sending out that resume. I use CareerBuilder and Craigslist.

Tim, I am so sorry it didn't work out. I think they treated you, and probably all the hires, very poorly. Really bad business practice on their part. They draw you in, make it fun and exciting, and then cut you off - - so incredibly tacky.

Best of luck with the next set of interviews and, hopefully, this time around you'll be hired by more responsible people.
