Ok, this upcoming summer I will need a job. I don't know where, I honestly don't know very much at all about having a job as this will be my first. All I know is that my parents want me to get a job. I am not well known so I don't think that I will be able to use friends to get a job for me. I will be a high school graduate with a really good background in math and science and probably no use for it.

Anyway, where do I need to apply? What skills could I have that would be employable? Are there any jobs to avoid? I think that my social skills are good enough to work most jobs that don't require me to actually approach unknown people but rather just follow orders and such and I don't think I have major sensory issues so long as there isn't loud noise.

Apply @ 7-11, Subway, your local supermarket, any gas station. Also look for jobs online. Book stores are a great place to start. Finally go to a diner and ask to be a dish boy.

Hand your resume in everywhere you go where you wouldn't mind working. Talk to the people working there/the manager to give a good impression and something to rememeber you by. That way they can connect you with your resume and think back to what was said when you first came in rather then read a bit of paper clueless about who you actually are. Alot of places also have online application forms so you could try filling some of those out.
