between the asperger's and being unemployed for almost a year before i found this job, i'm having serious problems with focus. yesterday i was fine. i worked from 10a right through to 530p and got a lot accomplished. but today it seems i can't focus at all, and i've barely done a single thing.

any suggestions on how to maintain focus?

There was a time when I used fish oil and meditation to help me focus. It really helps, but it does require a commitment.

concerta and strattera worked for me [with side fx]. then there is the old standby of wiring oneself on caffeine and nicotine.

Coffee jump-starts short-term memory - Paying Attention - Caffeine can help a little with paying attention and alertness

The old medicine - coffee - caffeine compounds - work a little (not a cure) for a few of those with ADHD (not all of those with ADHD) .

I've tried fish oil, B-12, and Strattera and I space out and wander at work just as much as without them.

Caffeine helps a LITTLE bit, but the effect is short-lived. Aerobic exercise helps a LOT, but the effect is much shorter-lived.

At 46, I've given up on anything causing an improvement that's practical. I just figure that I have Asperger's; that's the way it is. This is me.

Try to split up your time. Don't always be trying to concentrate the whole time. Take plenty rests.
