I had a friend once who had Asperger's, and worked in the entertainment industry. When I asked him to describe the job, he mentioned that he made $40k/year. He was forthcoming about his salary, moreso than most other people. Are most Aspies that way?

I'd suspect that more Aspies are more open about their salaries than NTs. The reason NTs are so secretive about salaries is because it's a political issue. You see, if two people do the same work, and one gets paid more than the other, then the higher-paid employee gets greater resentment from his coworkers. In many ways, keeping salaries a secret is the last remaining pillar of civility in most offices. For many Aspies, office politics go completely over their heads.

So what do you think?

Sounds likely to me, I know I have no problem admitting to my fortune or lack of one.

If someone asked me, I would tell them.

I don't mind saying how much I make.
