It seems to me that there's probably a lot of work out there, but we're (AS & NT) often blind to it. In Australia it seems that work in the mines and fruit picking always experiences a shortage of workers. Probably because nobody likes to be uprooted, but none-the-less the work is there. And no doubt there are all kinds of niches that require workers, but we are just blind to them. The kinds of jobs that you could virtually walk into due to desperate bosses that beg you to sign up.
Apart from mines and produce picking, any others you know of? Doesn't matter how unskilled or unsavory.
