I got hired at the job I'm working at in August 2001. I work full time. Well generally every August I get a review. I still haven't gotten one. Has anyone else had issues with reviews? I thought people get their reviews on the month they get hired.

Have there been changes in management? Have coworkers reviews proceeded normally?

This can be simple or complex.

Normally, any number of things might have them behind on doing reviews on schedule.

However, you also hope they aren't buying time or delaying so they don't have to do something. I remember a job I was laid off from, someone pointed out that I completed the 6-month probationary period and should have had me end-probation review done on schedule and that I should not allow them to say I didn't pass probation since the 6-months were up already. Their delay in doing the review does not mean my probation is extended. To extend it, they had to give a cause for doing so.

Likewise, if you are supposed to get raises effective on an anniversary date but contingent on the review, your pay raise should be retroactive to your anniversary date, not the day they get around to doing your review.

Well I am a contractor with the Federal Government. The company I work for corporate office is in Northern VA and I work in DC. My project manager in the past did work on site with me so it was way easier. My reviews were always given every August. But he left in 2008 so since last year my reviews have been late. The current project manager knows nothing about GIS (Geographic Info System) and he's at our corporate office. So maybe it's because he's not on site that's why my review is late?

You might discreetly ask coworkers if their reviews are late as well. It would at least eliminate you as the anomaly.

I asked another co worker who is on same contract as me and he got hired in July 2000 and he has yet to see his review for this year.
