what types of technical jobs that involves repairing or installing are there out there?

These folks still repair cameras.

For some people, it still makes sense to repair their cameras, no matter how cheap the "new and improved" one is--as a new camera won't work exactly the same as the old one. At some point, some people ask the question--"why should I waste my time learning to use something new when the old one worked just fine?"

There's a software testing company which specifically hires people with Asperger's. I'll dig up a link if you're interested.
