I hate Florida.

Maybe something will be different when I'm out of school. Who knows. *sigh*

Thanks for the congratulations. Fortunately, I have previous credits to apply or this would be a four year long journey. I'm looking at just a little over 2 years. I don't know what state I'd go to. It's happening everywhere. Yay tea party.

Yes I saw the bill being discussed in the senate. They cut money that was going to schools but they do not cut the wage hikes to the high ups in the state gov. payroll nor their insanely generous benefits nor the tax cuts worth hundreds of millions to large businesses like Disney.

I mean.. DISNEY of all freaking things. They are not going to pack up and leave the state so why the heck do they give them tax cuts?

I KNOW! It's crazy! Unfortunately, residents of Florida don't have the umph to protest and cause a fuss like Wisconsin (and what good it did there). Who knows, maybe we'll actually get the right to recall and be able to get the corporate crook out of there before too much damage is done. I can hope. I'm one of the few who writes letters and emails and calls my representatives.

But, I just hope things do recover before I begin looking for work. I don't want to move to a different state so I'm willing to take it up the tailpipe for whatever the retirement and salary is at that time, but I'm hoping there will be a job somewhere for me in this area. It's ironic. The President tells people in the SOTU to work for government and to become teachers and what happens? Major cuts to government and schools. Figures.
