HEY does anybody tune pianos?
I can match any pitch dead on if I have a reference tone,
I've been tuning guitars since I was a kid.
I understand I'm going to need to invest in quality tools,
study the process, and get some practice...
but is it unreasonable to think I might be able to go ahead
and jump into this relatively soon, as an amateur?
Considering my skill of matching notes perfectly?
I don't mean to insult anyone who has been to school for it and earned the 'professional' title through hard work and experience...
I'm just wondering if I've maybe got a fair head start here.
I was giving some kids guitar lessons for a while, but that kind
of fell through after a few months, I thought everything was great, but it turns out, I really didn't have the social skills to handle it. I guess I made them feel embarrassed, that's what I was told, so I felt really bad about that...
and now I've come around to the idea of tuning pianos, perhaps I can make some money doing something I love.
I'm seriously thinking about this, and I want to put some focus and effort into it. I was just hoping someone might have some feedback for me.
