I gave my notice in the other day.

Part of me was hoping that they valued me enough to sit me down and ask was there anything that could be done to help me continue working there - but of course - that didn't happen. I was given a leaving date instead!

Don't know what it's like where you all live - but there's a bit of a job slump going on here!

I'm sort of having to pin my future hopes on my own little clothing alterations business now - which I started up in February this year. Think I'm going to need a part time job aswell - but there's not much about.

I'm worried! On my own with a mortgage and bills to pay. :pale:

I went through something similar, lost my job in July. We moved to an apartment in the city. I have found it very easy to find jobs in the past, it was harder this time. Only had luck with jobs I had lots of experience in, instead of being able to find something related to education/past experience. The house we left still hasn't rented or sold, and it's priced at realistic market value. I really like my new job, and neighborhood, so some good did come out of all the stress.

Glad things have turned out well for you. I hope I'll be able to say the same!
