Any tips for blogging for a living?
I think you'd need to be making a living wage from blogging to think about making a living at it. If you enjoy writing, and can perhaps make a bit of money while you're at it. Do that until you're rolling in all the money from writing, then quit your day job.
I think the majority of writer folks use blogs in order to sell another product, whether that's a book, a course, or a service of some kind.
Good luck!

I tried blogging, but for me it is a bit difficult with my different interests. On the other hand, I tried something similar and because I can write part of it, leave it and come back and I can actually write short or long articles, at my own pace and on a wide variety of interests, vs. a blog where normally it's only related to one interest, it works for me. I can''t say you will make thousands immediately, but I have been doing it since May and make about 200USD a month from it. Not great, but it is better every day.
Here is just one of my pages

Check it out and if you decide to try it and have any questions, I'll be happy to help you. It is a simple format, but there are a few tricks that once you have a page or decide what to write about you need to do, such as keyword research, etc.
Good luck!

Cool, I wouldn't mind making 200$ a month on my blog.
I have a question if you don't mind. Where does that income come from, is it soley from advertising?

No, the Squidoo company pays you an amount based on how many views, etc. your page gets. The pages are tiered...ie. the first 2K pages make X amount per month, the next 8K pages make a different amount, and the next 70K pages make a minimum amount. The top amount is usually around 35USD a month, the next around 6USD per month, the others only about .50 a month, but of course, the more pages you have, then the more it adds up. In addition, you can add products from Amazon and eBay and make a percentage of the sale as well. If you sell 1K TVs, then 4% is a huge chunk...if you sell napkins, like me
then it's closer to .30 cents...lol, but it adds up. And even if people purchase things that you did not specifically have on your page, as long as they go through your page to Amazon, eBay, etc...then you make the commission.
After that, there are many affiliate websites you can sign up at and add your own ads or products from those companies and that is a separate opportunity to make money.
I for example use Zazzle for many of my pages, and although the amount I receive from the actual pages is not much, when I add the Zazzle products as an affiliate that I sell through my page, then that is extra money...last month's check for just the Zazzle products was close to 160USD...and I will say, I don't have as much time as others to work on it...
Good luck...I really think that it is a great opportunity and job for Aspies...I wish you well.
PS - it is truly addicting too ![]()
