Has anyone been able to get help getting a job after being diagnosed? Not just tips on how to act from a therapist or something, but assistance from an employment program? Please give as much information about it as you feel comfortable with.

not sure. i have yet to obtain my official diagnosis and have thus not mentioned this detail about myself in the work place. i have a lot of struggle sometimes so i do wonder if it would help or hinder me. depending on your level of functionality, with a diagnosis there would be certain social services available to assist you in your employment endevours

Yes, it can, but I am an unusual (not the norm) case I believe. I am in the care of the county Disability services and have a caseworker. I was able to go to Vocational Rehabilitation and get some training and get a job with the state. You may want to look at your states Vocational Rehabilitation services and see if you qualify. They may help you without a caseworker if you have a proper diagnosis(?).
