Starting an computer repair company that makes any money is very difficult. The market is literally saturated with thousands of kids who can fix computers and hundreds of people who are running IT repair businesses.

That is a big real issue. The best market that's not being penetrated is inner cities, ie, "the hood." Especially selling computers and technology there, people are desperate, and go to places that scam like Rent-A-Center usually out of direness or ignorance. If you can provide them with a better deal than that, then you're golden. You could sell computers agencies would throw out, ie, 1ghz Celerons or something, and just resell for 50-100 a pop, and there you go. The only problem with dealing with inner city people is you usually need pretty advanced social skills and a lot of balls. Your actual social skills don't matter, but you need to be crazy assertive. But, the inner city is a market relatively unpenetrated for computers and technology in general.
