Does anybody have any advice for an person with aspergers getting a job? Thanks.

Perhaps, try to get a sense of (unwritten) social rules. You may be the smartest of all, but your rank in the 'pecking order' will likely be the lowest. Try to accept every assignment you are given, don't be afraid to ask if you don't know something, but first try to think about it before you do. Avoid saying 'I can't do it'. Don't be too open, don't be fooled by people being kind, smiling happily. Keep your opinion to yourself, if in doubt, better stay silent. Don't take things to heart. First job is about work experience, akin to learning.

I think the OP is asking for tips on getting your first job. (I could be wrong) This is also something I would like to know, since I recently got turned down for a job I really wanted, had extremely well prepared for and (I thought) did well in the interview, but was turned down because I "would not do well in a leadership position". What I have noticed is that tehy think I am overqualified for positions without leadership aspects, and turned down for those on my level of education because of the leadership aspects... :S On top of that, in this economic climate, they have plenty of people to choose from...
