I've found a job that I am good at when i'm given a task to do. I have the skills for the practical aspects of the job. But when I took the course for this area of work I didn't consider that I would have to deal with clients. I'm really, really stressed by it. I don't understand why when I ask them for information they don't give it to me. I don't know if i'm meant to wait on them or if i'm meant to hassle them for the info.

Why are people so disorganized! I can't get my work done and i'm stressed because i'm bored and I feel like i'm meant to be doing something, but there's nothing to do. And then I think, i've got 50things I could be doing at home right now and i'm sitting wasting time trying to find something to do. This has happened in every job i've had. I'm either super efficient or completely useless.

I keep thinking at least i'm not working in a sweat shop and feel guilty for complaining . At least I have a job. But i'm so stressed. No one seems to care what i'm doing. They tell me they're happy with me. But this job is making me ill.

I always feel like this. Like everyone around me is totally disorganized. I want to be busy. The problem must be me really. I'm not doing something i'm meant to but I don't know what.

If you want to stay busy and want something to do, ask your coworkers if they have any projects they'd like help with, or done for them.

I've had this experience before, although not as badly as you, I think. As for your coworkers, some people just work more slowly and slack off more than others. The job and/or staying busy is not as important to them as it may be to you. And the whole job environment is probably set up to accommodate that sort of work style, so everything just feels slow and inefficient to you.

You can try to ask for more work or have your own things you bring to work to keep you stimulated if that is possible. You can daydream, play computer games, or take a nap if any of those are possible. Your work ethic may end up getting you promoted; then maybe you'll have more to do. If it is really boring/a waste of your time, and you are getting your work done early, ask your boss if you can spend less time at work, then find something else to fill the time, like a hobby or a second job. You may also try coming up with some plans to make the workplace more efficient and then present them to a supervisor.
