A little background

Back in November I became a store manager for a convenience store. While it was not a written requirement, I worked seven days a week to avoid getting backed up on paperwork. I have been on vacation this week and I have been going absolutely stir crazy. Until last Friday, I had worked the last 250 consecutive days without a day off. I am starting a new job on monday that carries much less stress for almost the same money, and I also get two days off per week.

I have been so bored, last saturday (my first day off) i was so bored I got in the car and drove 500 miles just for the heck of it.

What do normal people do with time off? ...Don't suggest I sleep in, I am up like clockwork at 5am every single day.

Goodness me you have been working very hard, I'm surprised you've survived. I worked 18 days in a row once and that was quite enough for me. I'm so glad you've got a job with actual days off.

I understand about not wanting to lie in, I like to have planning and structure for all my days, including my days off (when I have a job). There are lots of things you could do, such as take up a hobby, start playing a sport or going to the gym (I go swimming), make a list of nearby places you want to visit (towns, historical sites, museums or whatever) and go and visit them, join a club or a class that runs on that day,or take an online study course in something you are interested in.

I'm sure more people will be along soon with more suggestions.

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of work? If not, try something new, just google hobbies to see what everyone else is doing.

Learn something new, like making music - play guitar. I'm surprised you don't have anything outside work.
