hey im new to this whole socialising with other aspergers thing, i have aspergers syndrom and i need advice. my dream job is to be a games tester but with todays economy im aiming for something more attainable like working in a shop or library. ive found a course for games designing etc but it costs like £3000 which my parents will struggle to pay and relies on independent learning at home rather than at a college as i first assumed. any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds more like school pressure than job pressure. Maybe you can intern at one of those places if you don't have to pay the rent at home.

Maybe you can apply to some scholarships to help with the funding? I used to use fastweb.net to look for scholarships, but I don't know if they have any for the UK (I assume that's where you live since your currency is pounds, sorry if this is an error on my part). I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check it out?

I recently noticed on Youtube, since I just uploaded my first video a few weeks ago, that you can join their affiliate program and get paid. I once met a guy who made money by recording the games he played and posting them on Youtube, so maybe that's what he was doing. I'm not sure exactly what he posted though...maybe tutorials? Walkthroughs? I suppose if you're interested in this path, you could look for some game channels and get an idea of what they're doing. Just to warn you though, you probably won't make much starting out.

If that doesn't work, maybe you could work in a game shop or arcade?

I'm highly skeptical of all these online schools.
