I've always wonder does anyone on here on the AS sepctrium own their own business? it can be a small business, antraprenuership, or a large corporation. does anyone own their own business or has?

I have been in small business as part owner (16 years ago) and exclusive owner (6 years). It is definitely possible to have a business with Aspergers!

Go for it! If anything your ability to hyperfocus will make you very successful. You can stay late and get your stuff done until you get things going. Best of luck to you

Noi but I kinda want to run my own business one day. It's mostly a dream, though. Since I lack both the knowledge and interest in eberything related to running a business. But the though of owning my own software development company and make my own products appeals to me. Starting an indie game company is my the career of my dreams. I doubt it will ever be realized but it would be nice.

Anyways; I think you should go for it. Being your own boss sounds like a sweet deal.

Yes but I spent alot of money setting things up but netting around $1,000 - $2,000 a week after all expenses. I did this because I am unable to find a regular job due to a very poor work history

Technically, yes. I have a uber-small hardware store in the rural area where I live. But there's not much to run and it's inside my mother's vareity store/bait shop. I still run it separately but it feels like I'm working for Mom. I hate working for others because of the arbitrary BS rules that bosses come up with just to show they're doing something. But I'm also not very ambitious, and only got into this because I was sort of thrown into it. Business is not what I would like it to be, but any ideas I have to make it better costs money that I don't have.

I have a home business. I don't make enough profit from it yet to quite my day job, but I'm getting close.

Yes, two actually (soon to add another) that are related, compliment each other but are separate entities. I like the freedom running my own show gives me and because I can only handle a certain amount of clients due to the nature of both businesses, my social interaction stays limited, just the way I like it, I'm lucky, I have the best of both worlds.

I thought about starting a home improvement and power wash business but I still have a computer job - for now. The thought of going into debt to buy professional equipment scares me, but I think that is because my parents were scared of debt more so than Aspergers.
