Hey. I'm going to a vocational rehabilitation program, but it's woodworking and factory work.:( This is not what I want to go into. The program manager said that I will be able to do other work like working in office and answering the phone, but it will probably be awhile before I can do that. I thought I wanted to do office work, but now I'm rethinking that.:( I'm interested in music, concerts, tv, and celebrities, but thats not a realistic job to go into. What the vocational rehab place is meant for is to try to find me a job out there in my community. I don't have a driver's license and need transportation.:( That's another problem. I don't know what to do. There's hardly anything close to where I live.:( What should I do?

Do something you are interested in. If you are interested in concerts, go get a job at a music venue. Or get a job as an intern at one of the celerity magazines. Don't let someone dictate your life. The rule I follow is this: If you do not design your life, someone else will, and it will be based on their dreams, not yours.

Taking a job doesn't mean you have to do that for the rest of your life. If you take a job you don't like, it's money plus motivation to get out there and find something you do like. It's much easier to be employed if you already have a job.
