At the moment I am unemployed and my parents do pamper me (I live with my parents in a big house)

My brother who works as a pizza boy made a comment too me the other day "if we were poor you would hang yourself"

What might my bro be trying too say too me by that comment?

He's trying to say that he's a jerkface who just wants something mean to say.

I think he's trying to imply that you are spoiled...he's probably jealous if he perceives that he is not getting as much attention as you do.

He views you as not contributing at all to the costs of your own existence. If the family wasn't there to pay your way, then you would have nothing at all.

Not having heard his tone, he could simply mean 'I think you would not survive on this world if someone was not there to support you.'

And yes, it would be good for you to find a way to contribute, even if it serves to thank your parents for what they do for you, and show them that you are willing to try.

Or if you can't do that, do something to contribute around the house. They're your parents, not your slaves.

That's very well said, and I agree.
