Last Summer I interned with a public transportation industry. One day, a Phd student came in to have a meeting with my supervisor and a few other people about deer crashes. He invited me to sit in on it. Not having anything worthwhile to contribute, and not wanting to interrupt or say anything irrelevant (I have a terrible habit of talking AT people), I remained quiet and took down some notes. MY supervisor basically disowned me from that day forward. I just don't know how I should be acting in a meeting like that, I'd like to be able to participate, but I am who I am. does anyone have any advice for how they deal with company meetings?
