I got a job-- thought it was "perfect." In the end my downfall was that I refused to look the boss in the eye, and was afraid to call people to wake them up at 2 am.

I felt the hate. I made too many errors.

I am no good to the world. They do not understand that I went home wanting to blow my brains out because I could not make a phone call, or look someone in the eye.

I also don't understand-- is it normal for people (neurotypical people) to tell you that everything is fine and that you are doing well and everything is going well, only to tell the boss that you are not working out and are not doing fine? (are afraid of gettin ghurt so you won't put your back into it?)

Does everyone lie to you, and then tell the boss something else?

you'll be better suited to more worldly people who understand that 2am phone calls are generally unpleasant and rude... for the future though something important may have been riding on that phone call, in which case i absolve myself by the knowledge that "I had to"

In my experience, yes, people will lie to your face and tell the boss something else.
Probably to make themselves look better. Especially if it's a competitive job with great opportunities for advancement.
I've learned to be wary of the people I work with.
