I'm having trouble deciding on what career I should choose, cause it will probably be quite literally for the rest of my life. I've narrowed down what I want to do to either vet tech or cosmetologist.
I tried going to school for veterinary technology, but I failed my anatomy class (the lecture portion; it was a lot of words and I'm a visual learner). I really liked the classes, but there is a place I really wanna move to, and I don't know if I can take staying where I'm at for another 2 years.
After I took a break from school I realized I like doing makeup and hair styling (other people's; the only time I do my own makeup is on a really special occasion), and according to other people I'm pretty good at it. plus there's a cosmetology school in the town I wanna live in.
I'm just not sure if I'd be good at the social obligations that come with working in a salon, or the sound of nail files (hate it ).

What do you enjoy doing more? Being a vet tech or a cosmetologist? If you like both equally, i would suggest moving out and going to the cosmetology school. You'll live at a place you like more than the old one and you'll still be doing something you enjoy. Cosmetology requires social obligations yes, but so do most jobs. If you really enjoy working at a salon the social obligations there probably shouldn't give too much trouble.
I say go to cosmetology school, but know ahead that you could make 18k at worst, or you could end up making 75k at best. But I say 18-40k
is realistic. I look at cosmetology as a survival career more than anything else though, it's not a get-rich career, but it gives you enough money to live better than minimum wage. In my mind, I would have other options and other streams of wealth coming in.

I have the same problem. I have done countless test trying to figure out what would suite me the best.
Logically I guess cosmology would be the best choice since you don't like living where you are at the moment and the interest seem to be somewhat equal.
However if you study to become a veterinary technician then you would be working for something other than yourself namely the well being of animals which can be so much more rewarding than cosmology.

True, but I'm not mainly concerned about the money. As far as income goes, I only want enough to where I can comfortably live somewhere I like and be able to go on a nice vacation every once in a while.
