I just got hired at start today at a pretzel shop. The job looks like a dead end but it is what it is cash flow.

I have an interview with sketchers today and they conflict. Should I call sketchers and reschedule or quit my new job? Sketchers seems just a little better but not worth taking risks in the recession. i like the pretzel place more but im looking at the future. commisions perhaps.

I also have an interview later today at Cinnabon(this seems the best as of now because the manager schedule me yesterday... overall good feeling).

The most important thing to me is that they will work with my college schedule.

In general, "Dance with the one who brought you". You were hired for a job, and you should'nt quit so you can interview with a shoe store.

Now, if said shoe store offered you a job, time to put in 2 week's notice.

It would be STUPID to quit the job you have to interview for a job you may not get.

If you can reschedule the interview for a day you have off, go for it, but what happens if you quit the pretzel job and don't' get the shoe job?

Well I went for my pretzel job. I reschedule the interview for next week at sketchers.

I think I screw up for a management position at Cinnabon because she ask if I have any experience in management... and i know i could had gotten the job if i lied....

I plan on telling her i wont take the crew worker because someone else hired me for a leadership role (forcing her if she wants me badly enough to get management.) i told her im interested in the crew leader at the end.

thats all i can do.

Best not to lie. I only say this as I unknowingly embellished on my interview for my last job, thinking I had the skills when I didn't and it bit me in the end.
