I'm having trouble getting job application bites. I've had a couple interviews. One of them I was offered the job for, I told them I wanted a day to think about it and they gave it to someone else during that time. I thought about the army but they won't take me right now because of my AS diagnosis.

Most retail and food places have online applications these days. My question is, is it inappropriate to go into a store like RadioShack, say you are interested in a position there and give them a hard copy resume? I guess I have nothing to lose. My confidence is struggling because my progress on this seems to have slowed down a lot. But I think if someone said no, definitely a store manager wouldn't think that was inappropriate, I'd have the confidence to do that.

It's not inappropriate, and might get you a foot in the door if you are good at presenting yourself in person (are you?) However, the Human Resources department wherever you apply is still likely to make you fill out the online application anyway, for their records, so you might as well do that first.

I think many of them don't like hard copy resumes (so I was told by a former manager at GM).
