If you have Asperger's and enjoy what you do, please can you let me know what it is, because I need some ideas. Thanks.

My favorite job (alas, it's only a couple months out of the year) is working as a technical editor.
I install alpha/beta/rc programs and compare them to a text written about them (to ensure it is clear, accurate and consistent throughout the entire book). Detail-oriented, solo, text-only communication, but, with professional communicators, so it's not as much stress as emailing usually is, wondering how people will take things.

My prior job was as a CAD/BIM Manager supporting Engineers in a Facility. Very detailed stuff, but, I got to work alone most of the time, and being on the post-construction side, deadlines weren't an issue like they would be on the design and construction side. I sometimes refer to it as having been a librarian, tracking down information from 100+ yo archives was a big part of my job. It was a really good fit for me, basement office and all.

Now I'm a system administrator. Again for a facility, so we're spread out and most of the tech support I do is via PM and Email, which is good. It's a bit noisier where I work and I support less technical people, so it's a different set of stressors, but, still, a very good fit for me, as I've mentioned in other posts, being the tech support person means that my oddities are just kind of written off as 'nerd stuff'. ~shrugs~ :)

I work with administration in a large company.

I prepare some PDF-text files and upload them to an online document system. Pretty simple, but things get weird sometimes.
I also burn some CDs and some other office tasks. Nothing extraordinary, but I try to keep up with the knowledge-heavy world I'm in
(the regulatory affairs department of a large pharmaceutical company)

My colleagues know that I have autism, and they try to understand my odd behaviour. My concentration is poor, it's an open office space and people small talk all the time.

Yes. I work as Collections Manager for a natural history collection. I also work in archaeology, but am still trying for the Masters degree so I can't call myself a professional, yet...

Today, my work consisted of handling a loan of a Carolina parakeet (extinct bird) and after lunch, I worked on some forensic analysis of human remains from Carthage. I get along better with dead people than live ones

I work as a teacher and I love that I get to teach my favorite subject. I put so much effort into explaining things and I get good feedback from students. I do loads of research and revising to make sure I have everything covered in my subject area. However the classroom environment is not for me. It is is very unpredictable and noisy. My social skills are poor and it shows. I am a rather quiet person and usually wish to be alone. I do enjoy my job at times but I feel like it's not for me in the long run.

Overall, I do not at this point but I have definitely in the past. I work behind the scenes for a major organization and my #1 complaint is that my job is way too easy. Fits an Aspie nearly perfectly though as it requires someone friendly, reliable and most importantly self-motivated.

I have worked in varied jobs

office clerk involved typing emails, letters, invoice, quotation, proforma
but i wasnt sucessful due to poor social skills

then i shifted to teaching
again i could teach well but was told that something is amiss with me

then lastly i worked with underprivilaged slum kids teaching them to speak English
but again i was told that i dont smile, my body language is poor and
no bonding with students and colleagues, not a team player

I enjoyed all of my jobs but they didnt want me around

My dream job would be to work with a craft artist and help in creating
artistic stuff

Not as of yet currently one but am in training to becoming a firefighter. I'm enjoying this more than anything else I've done.

Past jobs: Service technician, drummer for two bands (small pubs and clubs type gigs) Builder, glass collector at a pub, painter and decorator, temp at a bank and taught kids boxing at a gym.

Dream job was to be an architect but life situations have changed that for now

 architect is only a dream job if you like drawing bathroom partition and handrail details. ;)

You've had some interesting gigs there. :D
