At your age, most employers know why you want that job. Job interviews for menial jobs are typically nothing more than 15 minute popularity contests, so learn the social skills required to pass the interview. Keep the eye-contact at 70%, and break the eye-contact when the interviewer does. Mirror his/her body language, and be sure not to speak too quietly or too loud. If you do not have any experience, gather some info about a recently abandoned business and say that you used to work there.
Yes, but what do I write on the application?
Be sure to use your grammar and writing skills. If your experience is patchy, exaggerate the importance of previous jobs. Also, describe yourself as a person, but only mention your strong sides. As previously mentioned, they know why you want the job, but pretend you want it for other reasons than money; you could write that you want the job because you've "heard from a friend that [insert grocery store name] was a nice workplace", that you want experience for later in your life, that you want to do something meaningful outside of school, that you want to use your skills, and so on. Never, not under any circumstances, mention any social flaws.
